The Georgian-American Republican Alliance (GARA) is a non-governmental political organization, acting as a Political Action Committee (PAC) that pools campaign contributions from its members and donates those funds to support candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation.

The Alliance's main goal is to support the candidates in local, state, and National Elections.

Members contribute so that we can support those individuals in GEORGIA and the USA who run for political office who will advance our causes and help our community.

The Alliance is a political action committee that bridges the information gap between Georgians overseas and Georgians in the USA. Our purpose is to smooth the path between our two nations and our people who settle in both countries. It is the basis for forming our union!

The Georgian American Republican Alliance is a civic organization that promotes conservative values, cultural continuity, and strong community leadership among Georgian immigrants and their families in New York and across the United States. Through educational forums, policy dialogue, and strategic outreach, we work to protect traditional values, support small businesses, and advance democratic integrity and international partnerships.

The Alliance promotes principles rooted in limited government, strong families, economic opportunity, and adherence to the rule of law. With growing challenges facing New York communities—ranging from public safety concerns to rising taxation—GARA works to strengthen constructive dialogue while upholding traditional values. The organization encourages intergenerational leadership by engaging professionals, business owners, community leaders, and youth committed to conservative ideals. Programs focus on strengthening family-based values, encouraging civic responsibility, and providing educational resources to members of the Georgian diaspora.

Supporting Georgia–U.S. Partnership Through Conservative Diplomacy

GARA promotes the long-term strategic relationship between the United States and Georgia by encouraging democratic stability, transparency, and anti-corruption initiatives. As members of the diaspora, Georgian Americans serve as cultural and economic bridges, contributing to stronger bilateral ties. The Alliance also advocates for responsible U.S. support for Georgia’s sovereignty and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. While respecting policy diversity, the organization encourages informed conversations that reflect conservative principles and promote freedom, national dignity, and protection of traditional cultural identity.

• The Alliance promotes values of personal responsibility, family strength, religious freedom, and economic opportunity. Its vision is for a united Georgian-American conservative community that actively contributes to local and national policy dialogue, strengthens U.S.–Georgia relations, and invests in future generations. These goals are pursued through educational initiatives, leadership forums, community outreach, and practical support for small businesses and civic participation. The Alliance supports legal immigration, entrepreneurship, and policies that reinforce national sovereignty, both in the United States and Georgia.

• Founded by members of the Georgian diaspora in the United States, the Alliance serves as an independent platform advancing conservative thought and cultural preservation. It unites professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, youth, and community leaders committed to safeguarding family values, economic stability, and democratic integrity. Through programs, forums, and partnerships, GARA encourages constructive dialogue on civic issues, supports legal immigration and entrepreneurship, and strengthens U.S.–Georgia relations. The organization does not endorse political candidates but supports the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and strong national identity.

Goals:

1. Establishing a tight and friendly relationship between the American and Georgian people.

2. Awareness of the Georgian population in the home and foreign policy of the American people, the lifestyle, values, and aspirations of the American people, and the role of America in the life and development of the Georgian state.

3. Promoting the policies, values, and aspirations of the United States of America in Georgia.

4. Active involvement of Georgians living in America in the social and political life of America and Georgia.

 

Objectives:

1. Study of attitudes toward the United States in the Georgian population.

2. Determining the level of awareness of the Georgian population on Georgia and US relations.

3. Establishing connections with Georgians living in America, actively engaging them in the socio-political and cultural life in America and Georgia.

4. Implementation projects and programs on cooperation and rapprochement of the American and Georgian people and promoting US popularization.

For the Georgian-American Republican Alliance, the Georgian-American Alliance-GARA Representation must study the quality, sources, and awareness of the US among Georgian citizens, to explore what Georgian people think about today's US, its domestic or foreign policy, its attitude towards Georgia; whether Georgian citizens are satisfied with the support of the US and what they know about what is being done and what is going to be done by the US for the Georgian state. The necessity and urgency of such a study is serious Russian propaganda that is currently taking place in Georgia aimed at removing Georgia's aspiration to the Euro-Atlantic unity and the western way, to break away the democratic values, ​​and to turn the eyes and hopes of the society back to Russia.

It is the Georgian-American Alliance - GARA that should have a significant role in getting to the Georgian society the correct and complete information on the US, which is not happening today. This is a strategic task, and the Alliance should do it. Therefore, first and foremost, we need to study in Georgia, the sources of information on the United States, and the level of awareness of the population, which enables us to make strategic action plans in order to accomplish the objectives of the Alliance.

Determining the problem (analysis of the current situation):

The aspiration of the Georgian state and Georgian citizens to join the North Atlantic Alliance is declared by the Government of Georgia at the state level. The Georgian-American Republican Alliance (GARA) should play an important role in the implementation of these aspirations to make public diplomacy more intensive and deepen the cooperation between the American and Georgian citizens in the fields of economy, culture, education, science, sports, and youth affairs.

The United States of America actively supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the establishment of strong democratic institutions in Georgia, the development of a market economy, and full integration of Georgia into European and Euro-Atlantic institutions.

The United States of America plays a major role in the current life of the Georgian state. Both moral and financial aid of the US had a special significance for the Georgian people back in 2008 after the Russian Federation's aggression.

The 

Georgian and American people have common values.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Russian Federation's influence on Georgia was weakened. Russia resorts to a hybrid war to restore the lost influence, which means that, apart from military force, it actively uses its economic, financial, political, and informational leverage. Lately, the Kremlin has been increasingly using media, non-governmental organizations, and public associations to pursue its interests and propaganda.

 

The actuality of the problem:

By spreading disinformation and financing NGOs, using mass media propaganda, the Kremlin seeks to spread nihilism and antagonism in the Georgian population towards Western values ​​and to bail Georgia out of the Euro-Atlantic zone and the United States. Unfortunately, the Russian propaganda machine is getting more active and stronger day by day.

The goal of the Georgian-American Republican Alliance (GARA), is to provide the Georgian population with accurate and comprehensive information on the United States, its domestic and foreign policy, the lifestyle and aspirations of the American people in order the anti-Western propaganda of the Kremlin to be exposed and weakened; to increase the trust between Georgian and American people, deepen friendship and cooperation.

 

In order to achieve the full and correct information on the attitude of the Georgian population towards the United States and the integration into the Euro-Atlantic Alliance today, research is to be conducted by the Georgian representation of the Georgian-American Republican Alliance.

The project “On the Study of the Quality of Information Sources and Population Awareness of the USA in Georgia.”

1. Study of the Georgian population's attitude towards the United States of America.

2. Determining the level of awareness of the Georgian population on relations between Georgia and the USA.

3. Determination of information sources through which citizens of Georgia receive information on the US and Euro-Atlantic Alliance.

4. By what information sources would the Georgian citizens like to receive information on the United States of America?

5. Study on the quality of awareness of the Georgian population on the home and foreign policy of the American people, the lifestyle, values​, and aspirations of the American people, and the role of America in the life and development of the Georgian state.

6. Popularization of American State Policy in Georgia.

 

Objectives:

1. Study of the Georgian population's attitudes towards the socio-economic and political situation in Georgia.

2. Determining the level of satisfaction of the population with the life level.

3. Study of the Georgian population’s awareness in the United States and its state policy.

4. Study of the attitudes of the Georgian population towards the United States and its state policy.

5. Establishment of the level of awareness of the Georgian population on the relations between Georgia and the USA.

6. Identifying positive and negative stereotypes and opinions related to the USA and its state policy.

7. Identifying the Georgian people's attitudes and opinions regarding the USA's influence on Georgia.

8. Identifying the attitude of the population towards the departure of Georgians abroad, namely, the identification of ideas and opinions regarding Georgian immigrants in the United States.

9. Identification of main motives and barriers to migration from Georgia to the United States.

10. Identifying/ the ideas and attitudes towards returning the Georgians living abroad to their homeland.

11. Identification of the socio-demographic profile of the Georgian population.

12. Segmentation of population by socio-demographic profile.

13. Identification of information sources through which the Georgian population receives information on the United States and the Euro-Atlantic Alliance.
